Business 4Hi, I’m Cherie King (a.k.a. The Work@Home Advocate) and I’m an Inter-Network Marketer- which is a Network Marketer who builds their business primarily on the Internet.

What’s “The Work@Home Advocate”?

Well, I call myself that (and have for YEARS now) because of pretty much what the name implies;

I am a STRONG advocate of working from home, especially those of us fellow Stay-At-Home Wives & Moms (SAHWMs) who choose not to work a job outside of our castle… our safe haven… our HOME.

I’ve been a stay-at-home, work-at-home wife and mom for years and wouldn’t have it any other way!

As a SAHWM, I know all-too-well the joys AND the pains that come along with this position…

  • Living on one income…
  • Sometimes having to forgo getting the things you desire to have…
  • Feelings of guilt over even WANTING to do little things for yourself and…
  • Those subtle (and sometimes not-so-subtle) hints from your spouse that, “Maybe it’s time you thought about getting a job” – all because of the fact that you don’t earn an income.

And then once you DO finally find a way to generate an income from home (typically via a home-based business), you may run into the challenge of not being quite certain how to build that business in such a way that you actually MAKE MONEY from it, due to not knowing much about marketing… especially ONLINE!

Any of that sound familiar?

If it does, I invite you to grab a cup of coffee or other beverage of choice, and take some time to look around as I am here to help you via articles and videos that I’ve compiled here on this site.

More exciting things are to come, so be sure to bookmark this site and check back often or better yet, subscribe to my blog and you’ll never miss a value-packed post!

On a personal note

Having fun with my hubby acting like I am crushing him! lol

Having fun with my hubby acting like I’m crushing his lap! lol

I am a 40-something, stay-at-home wife of over 25 years to my handsome computer geek husband who also happens to be my BEST friend.

Our beautiful children!

An older pic of our beautiful children!

I’m a (former homeschooling) mom of our 4 beautiful children.

I am an introvert and kinda shy; but I can turn on the talkative, extrovert side if/when I need to.

I love to have fun acting silly, laughing, and cracking jokes with my family and close friends!

I like to sing and I LOVE old school (70’s & 80’s) R&B, as well as, Gospel music.

I am also a woman of faith (I love & serve The Lord Jesus Christ) but I don’t classify myself as your “typical” Christian for many reasons that I won’t go into… perhaps another time & place.

My Work At Home Story

I have been working from home (on and off… mostly on) since 1996 – aspiring since around 1992 when we tried various MLM’s.

My first (what I consider) “real” work-from-home gig was running and operating my own mini-hair salon from my home, which I did for about 3 1/2 years.

After becoming burned out by “standing-behind-the-chair” as well as a major life shift and some hard times my family fell on, I began searching for other ways to make money from home.

That is when I discovered Internet Marketing and that was in November 1999.

When I first started out I knew absolutely NOTHING about Internet Marketing!  I started out marketing affiliate programs, making $0.00 at first but I was determined so I read, learned and put into practice and then things started to change for me.

I began making money here and there… getting some checks in the mail and I believe that was one of the things that kept me going.  I believed that if I could make a small amount of money, then I could make a HUGE amount of money.

Later, I went on to create my own e-products (I wrote several natural hair-related ebooks) and started selling those and have been ever since.

Creating my own product(s) was a major shift for me in more ways then one!  I gave up ALL affiliate marketing and concentrated on my own products and did that for years.

But something was still missing.

One Thing Led To Another…

I won’t get into the whole long story of how Internet Marketing outside of my own products resurfaced in my life, but I will say that it led me right back to my “roots”… Network Marketing and MLM but this time with a twist!

I learned to build my business primarily via the internet!

My success has come from God’s blessings and strategically marketing myself and my business right here on the good ‘ole internet!

You see, I had tried and failed at MLM’s in the past and told myself I’d NEVER get involved in another one (never say “never”)

But this time around I found a new love for Network Marketing!  Things are so different now-a-days because of the neat way technology has found it’s own “love affair” with Network Marketing.

Because of being open to investing in myself and learning all that I’ve learned (and am still learning) I am now positioned to receive multiple streams of income… all from the comfort of home!

What This Site is All About & How Can It Help You

This site is here to help Stay-At-Home Wifepreneurs to bridge the gap between their business and the internet.
(And yes, even if you’re NOT a SAHWM, YOU can benefit from the info here too! 🙂 )

I may also share some good ‘ole, work-from-home REAL TALK from time-to-time!

A lot of times people think working from home is the best thing since sliced bread, and for some, it is!

But for others, not-so-much.  It’s definitely NOT for everyone.

Some people will thrive more working a J-O-B.  (I’m not one of them, though! lol)

But for those of us who have a strong desire to work at home, for whatever reason; I want to share with you the good, the bad and the ugly sides of doing so.

I truly enjoy what I do and to me, that’s what matters. It’s actually fun learning new things, applying what you learn and (the best part) actually making money in the process of helping others!

I sincerely hope that you find the information here helpful and that if you are not currently doing so well with marketing online that you take the time to learn and grow as I did and use what is here as a tool to help get you to your goals!

So on that note…

God Bless You!
