Have you ever heard the saying, “Beggars can’t be choosy“?  I know I sure have both as a child as well as an adult.

In most cases, people say it when someone is persistently asking for something (begging, to some) and when finally given to them, they want to “customize” it by requesting specifics.  Then the other person may respond with, “Beggars can’t be choosy…you better take what you can get!”

So how does this apply to marketing/promoting your business?

Well, if you are coming from a state of desperation – “I NEED people to sign up!”… “I just GOTTA get people to buy this!” … “PLEASE sign up!”…then you basically have the attitude that you will “take what you can get” and you will accept any and everyone into your business regardless of whether or not they’re qualified and capable of truly building a solid, successful business.  You will accept people who really do not understand nor fully embrace the MLM/Network Marketing industry.  You will accept those who are not really in a financial position to join you and then when you can’t help them build their business properly and they find themselves spending more money than they make…they’ll quit.

But when you have positioned yourself as and taken on the role of a LEADER and you have what has been called, “Lead Abundance” then you can be selective…you can be choosy!  You don’t “NEED” anyone to join you because you know and realize that you have (or you know how to get) an abundance of leads…and qualified leads to boot!

I’ve been in both positions…I’ve been the “beggar” who was totally desperate to get people signed up into my business and got really hurt and offended when they did not; and I’ve been the leader who feels justified to “qualify” those whom I speak with and does NOT get bent out of shape when someone says “No” to my business.
