In a previous blog post, I discussed whether or not the article marketing strategy works and I disclosed that it does, indeed, work because I have articles that are ranked on the first page of Google.

Well, now I would like to give you some pointers on how to utilize the article marketing strategy for your own business or whatever you want to get more exposure for. But first, allow me to delve just a little bit deeper into how article marketing can help you:

1. Credibility: When people see that you are more than just a sales person but that you also know what you’re talking about AND you are willing to give some helpful information, tips, advice, etc. in the form of articles; then they will more than likely be more inclined to buy from you when that time comes because they view you as an expert in your field.

2. Kudos from Google: When you write good, quality content and submit it via article directories, Google takes notice because they want to give the people who search them for content exactly what they are looking for… information!

3.  Viral Exposure: When you submit your articles to directories, especially high-end ones such as EzineArticles.com, your articles are now “public domain” for ezine publishers, etc. to use as content that may sometimes be sent out to their entire mailing list of subscribers or placed on their website/blog.  Of course they have to leave your Author Resource Box in tact so that you get credit, but this can prove to be excellent exposure for you and your business!

So…HOW do you do it?  How do you make this work?

• You MUST do keyword research to ensure that when someone searches for a specific topic, they find YOUR article
• Placing your keyword in areas of your article such as the title, body and in the resource box
• Make sure your content is original and most of all, informative for YOUR audience/market

It’s no secret that the internet is FOREVER changing…things in the past that were HOT are now NOT and this includes ways to market and promote your business online.

I remember back in the early 2000’s when we used something called FFA’s (Free For All Sites) and believe it or not, I actually used to get traffic and even a few sign ups from those when I did affiliate marketing!

But I have not heard ANYONE mention FFA’s now that it’s 2010…so it stands to reason that they either no longer exist or…they exist, but they are no longer effective.

And that is precisely how some marketers feel about Article Marketing…that it’s dead and gone and no longer effective.

But I beg to differ because it is article marketing that has allowed me to get traffic not only here to my blog, but to other sites of mine as well.  Not only traffic, but leads…a “following” if you will.

What I am going to do is share with you a video showing an article that got me 1st page ranking on Google and then later, I am going to share with you how I did it!

Hello, hello, hello!

Wow…it has been quite a minute since my last blog post.  I wonder how many people thought I had given up or quit or something.  LOL

Well, I have been somewhat MIA from my blog, videos, etc. because I have really been focused heavily on building my business using some strategies that I’ve been learning from my team mates and coaches within my primary company.

It’s been such a FUN ride…so fun, in fact, that I have regretfully been neglecting my blog and my video channel.  But don’t worry…I am returning…I am going to make time in the midst of directly-building my business, to get back to writing blog posts & articles and doing videos and giving that value that so many have come to expect and boy-oh-BOY do I have some golden nuggets to share with YOU!!

You may have heard someone or another say that when you are dealing with leads and/or prospects that you want to have the right posture.  But you may not know exactly what that means.  Many don’t…I know I sure didn’t.

Let me share with you what happened to me one time when I was still learning about posture and being an alpha leader:

I got a text message from a friend of mine whom I hadn’t spoken with in quite a while asking me if I had heard of the product her company promotes.  Long story short, I informed her I was very familiar with her company and that I wasn’t interested in getting involved as I was quite happy doing what I was currently doing at that time. I once heard one of my mentors say that one of the reasons people fail at Network Marketing is because our industry accepts and allows any and everyone to join.  What does that mean?

Think about it for a moment…

When someone decides they want to go to a university such as Harvard or Spelman or any others, they have to be what?  ACCEPTED.  If you don’t get approved and accepted, you don’t go to that particular university.

When you go to apply for a job, you have to go through a process of first of all, having your resume and/or application even LOOKED at and then considered (where you get a phone call for an interview) and then the decision is made from there (or perhaps a 2nd and/or 3rd interview) if you get the position or not.  And if you do not fit the bill, you will be turned down!

Heck, even Walmart and fast food joints turn people down!

But those of us in good ‘ole Network Marketing? No we take virtually ANYONE!  No interview, no qualification process, no sifting and sorting…just, “You want to join??  SURE!!  Come on aboard!”
