Promoting and Advertising

Okay, you've signed up for a program, now what do you do?  You must get the word out and get it to as many people as possible in order to see a decent income.  Just as major companies have to advertise, so do you.  Note:  This DOES NOT mean to go spamming people.  This is a "no-no"

Simply, you must find ways to get people to come to you and most of all, ORDER.  If you signed on with an affiliate program or a home-based business, more than likely you were given a self-replicating website.  These are good but there are a few minor drawbacks which will be covered later on.  So, here is a sort of step-by-step list of things to do in order to begin getting traffic and hopefully, sales.

Placing Ads
When placing free ads, it is important not to just place the ad and forget it.  Stick to places that allow you to come back and edit or change the ads.  Then, you can go back and re-submit or "refresh" the ads so your ad does not drop down when all the other thousands of people start placing their ads.

I suggest refreshing your ads at least every other day, if not every day; preferably in the early morning or very, very late at night.

Be sure you write a catchy headline that will cause the reader to look at the full ad.  But don't lie or use hype because people can see right through that stuff.  Make your ads cause the reader to want to know more, but be believable and realistic.  Just put yourself in their shoes.  Would YOU want to click on the ad?  Would you want to find out more information?  Another good way to test an ad's effectiveness is to have someone else read it for you and give an unbiased opinion of how it appears to them.

Here are some places to post free ads:

W.A.H.A. Free Classifieds
AdSolutions
GrowRichNow
ResponseMaster
MicroClassifieds
Ads By Net

Please note; although though Free Ads can bring you a tremendous amount of traffic and sales (I know they sure did for me!) Premium Ads and Ezine Ads will bring in double if not triple the amount.  I advertised a business I used to be involved with in an ezine ( a solo ad) and within one hour of the ezine going out, I was receiving more email requests then I knew what to do with.  I believe I had somewhere around 13 people sign up for my program through that one ad.

Now, one very important thing I learned is that it is essential that you test your ads.  What I mean is, you have to be able to determine which ads are pulling responses/sales and which ones are "duds".  How can you do this if you do not have some sort of tracking device?  Something that will tell you which ad the person is responding to?

You can track the performance of your ads and listings to see which ones really pull in or which ones don't by signing up for Roibot.  This is good for free as well as paid advertising.

Anytime you pay for advertising, you'll want to know what your Return On Investment (ROI) is.  Roibot will help you do just that and more!  Click here to manage and track your advertising campaigns (free or paid) and much more!
