Okay, let’s get right to the meat.
The “Possible Dilemma” of Selling Avon Products…
Now first let me start off by saying that, based on my own observations, the fact that Avon has been around for so long could possibly be both a pro AND a con when it comes to selling the products online.
It can be a PRO because, people are familiar with the name and generally equate it to a company they can trust because of the company’s long track record and history.
Now it can be a CON because, SO MANY people market it and have done so for years… a lot of people may have simply become somewhat “numb” to it.
What I mean is, sometimes people see or hear “Avon” and immediately think,
“Oh. Avon. *YAWN* Yeah, that’s my mother or grandmother’s products. They won’t have anything *I* like. That’s for “old” people.”
YIKES! Have YOU ever experienced that when
you told people that you sell Avon?
And that, of course, depends on who your target audience is.
If your target audience IS that mom or that grandma, then Avon might be an easier ‘sell’.
However, if your target audience is the younger, new generation… then that could possibly pose a challenge unless you take the necessary measures, as I’m about to share with you.

The Solution To Successfully Selling Avon Products Online…
So, how do you have success selling Avon products online, no matter WHO your target audience is?
Let’s get you started with something very simple & basic.
The first thing you’ll want to do is to…
1. Decide on a product to lead with.
Let’s face it, as an Avon Representative, you have a LOT of products to offer and there is NO WAY you can nor should try promoting EVERYTHING all at one time!
So, while you may use multiple Avon products (and you may even at some point promote & sell them) pinpoint what you want to LEAD with initially.
And if you find that you just can’t choose one leading product, then choose a product category e.g. jewelry, make up, or skin care. Get the picture?
Once you’ve done that, then you’ll want to…
2. Implement the U.P.S. Strategy
The U.P.S. Strategy basically means – Use, Produce, Share:
USE your product. Once you’ve settled on a product to lead with, use that product or products within a specific category line. And if applicable…
PRODUCE a result from the product(s) you use. For example, if you’re using the Clearskin line or even just one item from the line; document what you’re doing and take before and after pics to show how it has improved your skin.
Be RELENTLESSLY CONSISTENT in using it, too! The result doesn’t have to be drastic, but it should at least be a result that someone else is desiring to achieve. And finally…
SHARE that result. Whatever result(s) you got from using the skin or even hair care products, that is what you will use to draw potential customers who would like the same results.
And if you’re NOT using a ‘results-oriented’ product (example: skincare) but, instead, want to focus on beauty or wearable items such as makeup or jewelry – simply showcase yourself wearing your ‘wearables’ and share what you love so much about it and what you’ve found to be different/better than other brands you’ve worn in the past!
Sounds simple enough, right?
It IS, but there’s one little ‘catch’…
WHERE & HOW Will You Share Those Results?
Right now, you’re probably taught to share your results with your warm market… nothing wrong with that.
What happens once you’ve exhausted your warm market? What now?
Walk up to strangers? Buy a list and cold call them? Put up fliers inviting strangers into your home?
Or do you want to get new eyeballs looking at your products and new customers buying your products that you’ve NEVER met or spoken with, by marketing ONLINE?
